Grifoglia is centrally located, about 1- 1/2 hours from the cities of Florence and Pisa, or the coast at Viareggio, and 1 hour north of Lucca, and offers opportunities for numerous day trips to historic hill towns or the beautiful coastal region of Cinque Terre. 

Barga, renowned for its cathedral and summer music festivals is 5.5 miles down the main road which affords spectacular panoramic views of the local mountain ranges.

The town of Coreglia Antelminelli, at 2.5 miles, can be reached on foot along the scenic main road or by one of many hiking trails.  

In addition to renovating the other lovely old stone farm buildings, we have recently restored a beautiful and historic wayside Chapel on the property. It is ideal for intimate weddings, baptisms, and other celebrations. 

There is also a woodburning oven in our courtyard which we light at least once a week for pizza, baking or roasting and you're invited to join in.
